Is Queer OK to Say? Poster Campaign

by UAA Student Engagement and Inclusion  |

The LGBTQIA2S+ Advisory Committee has created a three poster series about the word "Queer" to facilitate dialogue among our community. Is Queer Ok to Say? We recommend starting this conversation with Tyler Ford's video.

"The term 'queer' has come to mean anyone who doesn’t identify under rigid binaries of either straight/gay or male/female, an umbrella term for sexual and gender minorities. The term can represent a kind of freedom and acceptance, which allows space for individuality and acknowledges that each person’s sexuality and identity is distinct from every other." —About the Q

You will be seeing this poster series around campus, but you can also access the posters through the Google Drive to print off for your offices and spaces. If you would like printed copies, please reach out to Kim Morton, executive director of Student Engagement and Inclusion, at kmorton11@alaska.edu
