Anchorage native to join UAA hockey team

University of Alaska Anchorage head coach Matt Shasby announced that transfer Max Osborne will be joining the team for the 2022-23 season. 

“Our staff is thrilled that Max will be transferring to his hometown team this fall,” said head coach Matt Shasby. “Max is an incredible student, hockey player, and role model for Anchorage's next generation of young hockey players.”

Max Osborne, a 5-10, 175 lbs., defenseman started his college career at St. Thomas where he recorded two assists in seven games during the 2020-21 season. He played the following season at St. John’s tallying five goals and five assists in 24 games. The Anchorage, native started his junior career with the Springfield Jr. Blues (NAHL) recording 60 points (14 goals, 46 assists) in 150 games. He played in 14 games for the Kenai Brown Bears (NAHL) finishing with 10 points (four goals, six assists).
