College of Business and Public Policy Showcase
Aug. 18, 5-7:30 p.m.
The College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) is hosting a showcase event on Aug. 18 from 5-7:30 p.m. to highlight its diverse programs and quality education. Guests will find interactive sessions on all three floors of Rasmuson Hall on the UAA campus, along with wine tastings, hors d’oeuvres, live music and silent auction items.
Among other attractions, guests can try out virtual reality in the new artificial intelligence lab, learn how accounting students fight fraud, test their skills with experimental economics, talk with researchers from the Institute of Social and Economic Research, and help celebrate the launch of the new Seawolf Stock Ticker.
The CBPP Showcase is a ticketed event for guests 21 and over. Tickets are $50 per person through July 31. Afterward they are $75 per person. Tickets are $25 for alumni of CBPP.
Proceeds of this event and a portion of ticket sales will support the College of Business & Public Policy student programs and scholarships. Donations will be receipted by the University of Alaska Foundation.
