Passing of Chris Jackson, program coordinator for the UAA/ISU Doctor of Pharmacy Program

by Green & Gold News  |

Dear Colleagues,

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of our colleague Chris Jackson, who served as the program coordinator for the UAA/ISU Doctor of Pharmacy Program. Chris was a founding staff of the program and an irreplaceable asset.

She began working for the College of Health (COH) in our AHEC program in 2013. She has since worked for various units, from the Office of the Provost and then back to the COH. She cared deeply about our students and the Pharmacy program. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris in my short time here this past July and was struck by her effervescent personality and positive vibe — joyful. We will sorely miss Chris in so many ways, as she touched so many of our lives in the COH.

We will update COH faculty and staff once we learn of memorial service days/times. Until then, please be sure to take the time to remember how Chris made such a difference here and to grieve as you need to. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides counseling and confidential emotional support and is available to all UAA employees, their spouses and their dependents.

Thank you for remembering and celebrating Chris and her many contributions to UAA.

Debbie Craig, Ph.D.
Dean, UAA College of Health
