ANCHORAGE (Aug. 17) – One of the most dynamic junior-college transfers in the West is heading north as Alaska Anchorage men’s basketball coach Rusty Osborne announced Wednesday that Jaedon Bradley has signed a scholarship agreement to play for the Seawolves.

A 6-5, 200-pound forward, Bradley was the seventh-leading scorer in NJCAA Region IX last season, averaging 17.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game at Laramie County Community College in Wyoming. The Aurora, Colo., native shot .458 from the field, .376 from three-point range and .752 at the free throw line, scoring double figures in 27 of 29 games and helping the Golden Eagles to a second-round playoff berth.

“We are excited to add Jaedon as the final piece of this year’s recruiting class,” said Osborne, whose squad is replacing all five starters from last year’s 15-9 team. “He has the ability to score and rebound at a high level and will give us a lot of flexibility in our lineup. You could see tremendous growth in Jaedon as last year went along, and the last 12 games or so he was scoring and shooting at an elite level. In addition, he already has quite a bit of experience at the D-II level, so the transition should be quicker than usual. We will have many new faces, but we are excited to start working with these very talented athletes. Although we lost some size in the post, we have gotten bigger and more athletic on the wing.”

Prior to his one season at Laramie County, Bradley played his first two collegiate campaigns at fellow NCAA Div. II program Colorado-Pueblo, where he averaged 6.3 points in 45 career contests. He started 17 of 28 games for the ThunderWolves as a true freshman in 2019-20, averaging 8.1 points and 2.9 rebounds, while his 38 three-pointers were third-most on the team. Among his big games as a rookie, he tallied 21 points and 10 rebounds at Metro State and 20 points against Cameron.

Bradley was a prolific scorer in high school as well, earning all-state honors as a junior and senior and being named All-Metro League all four years. He averaged 23.5 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 94 career varsity games, leading Manual to the state title as a senior with a 27.7 ppg average.

Bradley joins fellow transfers Jack Chlumak (6-5, 200, G/F, Newberg, Ore./Lake Oswego HS/Central Wyoming), Dathan Satchell (6-3, G, Tracy, Calif./Modesto Christian HS/Casper [Wyo.] College/Las Positas College), Sawyer Storms (6-7, F, Idaho Falls, Idaho/IFHS/Chaminade), Lachlan Viney (6-2, G, Melbourne, Australia/Hawaii Pacific), Jaron Williams (6-4, G, East Anchorage HS/Spokane [Wash.] CC) and Da’Zhon Wyche (5-10, G, West Anchorage HS/Texas-Tyler) as the seventh member of UAA’s 2022 recruiting class.
