Volunteer at the Alaska State Fair Aug. 26–28

Join UAA in the community at the Alaska State Fair Aug. 26–28. UAA is a proud partner of this annual Alaska event and will be joined by aspiring ninjas of all ages throughout the weekend with the Eskimo Ninja, Nick “Iligutchiak” Hanson, at his Eskimo Ninja Camp! Nick is an Alaska athlete of Inupiaq descent who grew up in Unalakleet before rising to prominence through his participation in the American Ninja Warrior competition.

We are also looking for UAA employees to volunteer to operate one of two tents. Volunteers will be paired during two-hour shifts on Friday, Aug. 26, 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.; or Sunday, Aug. 28, 10 a.m.–7 p.m. 

Volunteers will also receive a complimentary fair admission ticket so you can stay and play when you've completed your shift.
