The Opportunity
Join us for an eight-week free virtual mindfulness-based course for UAA faculty and staff which will utilize mindfulness practices, readings, exercises to connect us with the natural world, and structured dialogue to develop life-long practices for staying mindful and connected and helping to co-create the world we want in the midst of uncertainty and challenge. Mindfulness practices have been demonstrated to have a wide range of benefits, from improved physical and mental health to increased focus and capacity to learn. Weekly class themes include:  Exploring Our Support, Ground Truth, Finding our Way and Creating Connection.

Sessions and Participation
The course will be offered on eight Tuesday evenings, 6:00-7:30 pm, October 4 through November 29th (skipping the holiday week in November). Preference will be given to those who have not participated in any of the previous mindfulness classes; please apply if you have participated before as we will probably have room for you! Class size limit is 30 participants. Because space is limited, participants are asked to commit to attending all sessions unless prevented by an emergency.
