One Health Symposium: Zoonotic Pathogens in Alaska

The UAA Department of Biological Sciences is hosting a little One Health Symposium on campus the afternoon of October 27 and all day on October 28. The two-day event will feature short talks and working groups, as well as panel discussions, poster sessions and a nanopore sequencing demo.

We would like to invite you and your colleagues in Alaska and beyond to this event and to connect researchers working on One Health in Alaska.

All events will take place in the ConcoPhillips Integrated Science Building on the UAA campus, at 3101 Science Circle Anchorage AK 99508. Keynote and selected short talks will be broadcast online.

Students, postdocs and fellows invited! There is no registration fee, but there will be coffee, snacks and a poster session/social hour on Friday.
