Undergraduate Research Opportunities Fair

by Green & Gold News  |

The Office of Research, in collaboration with the Honors College/Honors in Research & Creative Activity track and the Faculty Senate Research & Creative Activity committee, is hosting an Undergraduate Research Opportunities Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 2:30-5:00 p.m. Event location on UAA campus will be provided in a follow up announcement.

We plan to give each faculty member approximately 5 to 10 minutes to provide an overview of your work and a statement about how undergraduates could play a role.  It may be that you want students to have taken certain classes or have certain skills; you may address that as well.  We anticipate an array of students; some looking for mentors in the Spring, some getting a sense of possibilities but not wishing to start working with faculty until next year or beyond.  You may use 2-3 slides as reference.

We hope for a wide representation of the kinds of research and creative activities happening at UAA.  If you are engaged in this kind of work and have a vision for undergraduates to contribute this year or next, please consider speaking.
