20th Annual Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference offers UAA students big discount as well as scholarships

Opportunity for UAA students! The 20th Annual Kachemak Bay Writers’ Conference is offering a $100 registration discount as well as a number of scholarships to UAA students from any campus who would like to attend the conference, May 14-17, 2022, taking place in the center of Homer at the Kachemak Bay Campus and throughout the community.

March marks Women’s History Month! Join the UAA community in celebrating and honoring the history of women through these events.

March 4: Native Student Services Scholarship & Internship Fair

Join Alaska Native Regional and Village Corporations, tribal organizations, and other agencies in learning about the scholarships and internships that they have available to Native students and students from rural Alaska.

March 4: Being Femme

Being Femme is an affinity based conversation space for UAA faculty, staff, and students who identify as femme. Come together in solidartiy to challenge the patriarchy, push against gender norms, and subvert sexist policies that serve to further oppress those who are historically marginalized.

State of the University Address will livestream at noon March 3

University of Alaska President Pat Pitney will deliver the 2022 State of the University address Thursday, March 3 in Juneau. The address will begin at 12 p.m. and will be available to watch live on the president's State of the University page as well as on Gavel Alaska live online.
