The President and Her Pipeline

Join the UAA Econ Club February 21, from 4-6 p.m. in RH 101 for an introduction to the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and a viewing of the PBS documentary "The Alaska Pipeline" introduced by the Betsy Haines, former Olympic Skier and Acting President of TAPS. After the film, we will discuss the economic impact of TAPS on Alaska's economy, what 45 years of operations means to Alaska, what is ahead for TAPS, and what Betsy's journey has been from engineer to President.
