Are you unintentionally exhibiting microaggressions in your language or behaviors?

by Green & Gold News  |

Microaggressions are the often-unintentional ways that we may cause harm to others through our words and deeds. Come to this session to learn more about why we ALL commit them, how to identify them, and how to develop strategies to combat them. Attendance at this session is encouraged by members of the Chancellor’s Cabinet who have expressed a commitment to creating an inclusive environment at UAA and have been in discussions at all levels of the organization around ways in which we can all contribute to that effort.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of attending this session participants will learn:

  • What microaggressions are
  • Where they come from
  • How to overcome them

This training is presented by Jennifer Booz, Chief Diversity Officer, Thursday, Feb. 9, 2–3 p.m. via Zoom. Please register to attend.
