Career Services is offering a myriad of events and fairs throughout March and April. Career events are a great opportunity to build skills, strengthen your application materials, explore career options, and network with local employers. 

Kick off the month by attending the Career Fair Preparation Workshop (March 2) or stopping by the Career Services office for a Walk-In Resume Review (March 3). These events are designed to help students put their best foot forward, whether they are actively applying for jobs and internships, exploring their career interests or building their network. 

This year the Career Fair has been expanded to a two-day event in order to include more companies. There will be 83 companies attending each day of the fair, with a total of 127 unique organizations across both days. Organizations have registered for the date(s) with major representation that matches their recruitment needs. For example, a company hiring civil engineers will attend on Monday, March 6.

This event is free to all UAA students and alumni. Register in advance on Handshake to see a list of attending employers and open positions, or visit our Spring Career Fair Student Guide for more information. Free headshots will be offered from 2-4 p.m.! 

Staff and faculty are also encouraged to attend. Career Fairs are an excellent way to network with attending employers and build community partnerships that are beneficial to the UAA community and Alaskan economy. 

⭐ Students interested in continuing to build their network are encouraged to attend the CBPP Speed Mentoring event on Thursday, March 9th.
