The UAA Justice Center and School of Social Work, in partnership with Alaska's Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (CDVSA), will host “Voice! Acknowledgement! Power! Victims’ Rights & Restorative Justice Symposium” on the University of Alaska Anchorage’s main campus April 27 - 29, 2023.

This series of events is designed to educate and empower Alaska’s current and future leaders in the victim service, advocacy, and support fields to use restorative justice practices to give voice, acknowledgment, power, and justice to those impacted by crime. Local expert panelists will be joined by keynote speaker sujatha baliga, a former victim advocate and an internationally recognized leader in the field of restorative justice.

Students, faculty, staff, and the public are invited to join us for two documentary nights and a community reflection session. Learn more on our event website!
