100 Miles in May Challenge Recap

by Green & Gold News  |

100 Miles in May is a great month-long program/fundraiser run by Healthy Futures to raise awareness and build the habit of daily physical activity among our youth by being active ourselves. All Team UAA Employees participants logged their miles throughout the month and kept us in 4th place among 288 teams overall. Together we logged 8,192.4 miles!

Team UAA Employees consisted of 77 participants with 50 of them reaching over 100 miles! Every week the Employee Experience Department would do a prize drawing for those that had reached the weekly mile markers of 25 miles, 50 miles, 75 miles, and 100 miles. Michael McPherson won the grand prize for the most miles at 341.4 miles total!

Team UAA Employees donated $100 towards Healthy Futures' mission. However, with your individual contributions, we collectively pledged over $550 to Healthy Futures! We want to give a huge shout-out to everyone that participated in this year’s challenge. Whether this challenge motivated you to get more movement in your day or you were looking to reach a specific mileage, you did amazing! We look forward to continuing the challenge next May! We hope you all enjoy a great summer and continue to add movement to your day every day. - Employee Experience Department
