Windows 11 Upgrade (Phase 1)

by Green & Gold News  |

Over the next couple of months, around 550+ Windows 10 computers will automatically be upgraded to Windows 11. No action is needed, but it may help to leave your computer on overnight to allow the upgrade to run while the computer isn’t in use.  UAA IT will notify affected users through email before the upgrade is pushed out.

Changes in Windows 11 include the following: the search bar, start menu and activity switcher are now centered at the bottom of the task bar; the start menu will show pinned items, like Google Chrome, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.  Click on All Apps to see a complete list of installed applications.
