I am excited to announce that Julia Martinez will serve as UAA’s next Director of Alumni and Community Engagement, effective July 24. Julia comes to Alumni and Community Relations after previously serving as College of Business and Public Policy’s Senior Development Officer.

This move will return Julia to the Alumni and Community Relations office, where she previously was integral in the creation of systemic, strategic change to UAA’s approach to alumni relations. Julia’s experience in strategic planning, engagement and development will help UAA foster connections between our alumni and the university community by increasing internal and external collaboration, while building upon the success of our signature campus traditions.

I am thrilled to be named the next Director of Alumni and Community Engagement for UAA. I look forward to utilizing the culmination of my background and experience to broaden the involvement and support of our alumni, donors and friends toward the fulfillment of UAA 2027. It will be a privilege to collaborate with our dedicated Alumni Board of Directors and other community partners — along with our 65,000+ strong Seawolf Nation alumni — to further the mission of UAA and embrace our role as a trusted community partner.
