Last week, UAA celebrated the fall 2023 semester by welcoming students, faculty and staff back to campus with various festivities and events. The welcome back events kicked off with Faculty and Staff Convocation in the Wendy Williamson, followed by UAA Kids Day at the Alaska State Fair. Over the weekend, residents moved into the on-campus housing; Howl Days new student orientation guided new students around campus, and despite the windstorm and rain, the show went on, and Campus Kickoff persevered. The beloved campus tradition celebrating its 20th anniversary took the event indoors, in UAA's Student Union.
