Faculty and Staff Convocation | Friday, Aug. 25, 8:30-10 a.m. Wendy Williamson Auditorium

Reconnect with colleagues and join Chancellor Parnell and UAA leadership to celebrate faculty and staff milestones and usher in the 2023-24 academic year. Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to attend in person and receive your logo wear at the event or join us online. 

 

UAA Kids Day at the Alaska State Fair | Friday, Aug. 25, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. State Fairgrounds

Pull out your best green and gold gear and head to the State Fairgrounds for a day of fair fun! Kids 12 and under get in free. Visit UAA in Pioneer Plaza and UAA’s Mat-Su College cabin daily on the Red Trail.

 

UAA Cross Country Throwdown | Saturday, Aug. 26, Kincaid Park

Bring your cowbell and howl for the home team as UAA’s men's and women’s cross country throwdown against in-state rival, University of Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks, on the trails of Kincaid Park. Check GoSeawolves.com for the time of the event.

 

Campus Kickoff | Saturday, Aug. 26, 1-4 p.m. Student Union Parking Lot

Celebrate the beginning of the semester and 20 years of Campus Kickoff Saturday, Aug. 26, outside the Student Union. Enjoy food trucks, live entertainment and get to know campus, fellow students, faculty and staff. The fun continues in the Student Union and Avis Alaska Sports Complex from 4-7 p.m. with activities and games! Check out the full lineup of CKO23 events!

 

Campus Kickoff Concert | Saturday, Aug. 26, 7-10 p.m. Alaska Airlines Center

Wasabi Black and H3 kick off post festival fun. The concert is free for students, faculty and staff with an active WolfCard and is $10 in advance and $20 at the door for the public. Free shuttle service is available from the Student Union to the AAC.
