Study the impact of the Anchorage School District’s (ASD) wellness policy on elementary students. UAA student researchers will measure how much students eat, and hand out monitors to see how much students move. The research positions are for fall 2023 semester with an option to continue through spring 2024, with an additional option to keep working with the project after May 2024 for excellent performance. Researchers must have dependable transportation to travel to elementary schools in Anchorage, and must be available 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. most Mondays and Wednesdays. Total weekly work hours range from 6-16.
