Title IX Training

by Green & Gold News  |

Welcome to the start of another exciting academic year! The Office of Equity & Compliance is always excited in the fall semester to promote Title IX training to all members of our community, including staff, faculty and students. This training is a mandatory requirement for all individuals who have an affiliation with the university and is to be completed by Oct. 31.

The Title IX training provided is a cornerstone of our commitment to preventing sex and gender discrimination across our academic institutions and campus spaces. At UAA, inclusivity is not just a goal; it's a core value that extends to every corner of our community, from the lecture halls to our remote campuses and our residence halls. The knowledge and skills imparted through this training program play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety, which is fundamental to our ongoing mission of ensuring the academic and professional success of all individuals who choose to be part of our exceptional and supportive community. Your active participation in this training helps us build a stronger and more inclusive UAA family.

Access to the online training can be found on the UAA Title IX Website.  OEC can also accommodate in person training requests or post training Title IX discussions, per availability. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to the Office of Equity and Compliance at 786.0818 or stop by our office in the SSB 352.
