Augmented Reality Virtual Workshop

Register for Alaska NSF EPSCoR's free, three-part virtual workshop on the basics of creating your own augmented reality application in Unity. You will need a computer with Unity installed if you'd like to follow along with step-by-step instructions, and a mobile device to build your app to.

First Generation Celebration at UAA

First Generation Day is a national celebration, initiated in 2017 by the Council on Opportunity and Education and the Center for First Generation Student Success. This day highlights the common experiences shared by students who are a part of the first generation in their family to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree.

Pattilyn Drewery Memorial Endowment for Community Access

Pattilyn Drewery was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on March 29, 1952. She graduated from the Syracuse Newhouse School of Public Communications and drove her Datson down the Alaska Highway in the summer of 1976 to work as traffic director of the Anchorage NBC affiliate.

Department of Writing Open Mic!

Join the Department of Writing for an Open Mic event in The Den on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Come and share a three minute excerpt of your own writing, or come and listen to your classmates and professors read from their work. Pizza will be provided!

Mental Health Workshop

As temps start to drop and we begin to lose daylight, it is important to take care of yourself and others. This winter, the Employee Experience Department has partnered with the Student Health and Counseling Center to offer a Mental Health Workshop for all UAA employees.
