Unify America College Bowl

by Green & Gold News  |

Register your class for the spring 2024 College Bowl! Unify America’s Unify Challenge College Bowl is a free, virtual, intercollegiate program that matches students from different schools in one-on-one conversations about goals for America across 17 relevant issues.

The dates for the next two sessions are Feb. 27 - 29 and March 7 - 9.

It’s a low-risk opportunity to practice respectful dialogue with people from different backgrounds without engaging in unproductive conflict. Students rate the program highly, reporting an increased hope for the future of our democracy and an increased interest in civic and community participation. Faculty find the process requires little time and energy while helping them easily track student participation. The Unify America College Bowl 101 video provides detailed information about how the college bowl works:

UAA Assistant Professor Andrew Harnish made Unify America optional for students in WRTG 111 and shared that, “Every student who participated had a positive experience -- left the conversation feeling more hopeful, more comfortable talking about tough questions.”
