Learn how to skate ski with the UAA XC Ski Team!

Let's go skate skiing! Join the UAA XC Ski Team and Heather Jensen at the Kincaid Chalet for a beginner's guide to skate skiing this Saturday. We will meet inside the Kincaid Chalet to meet the team and then make our way to a flat area for a technique presentation and then try it ourselves!
Afterward, if you are feeling comfortable on your skis, you are welcome to ski a loop with the team to finish the adventure. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Heather at hjjensen2@alaska.edu. Employees are welcome to bring a friend or family member with them!
This event requires you to bring your own skate skis, boots, and poles. You can purchase used skis at Hoarding Marmot or rent them from UAA's Student Union, AMH, Play It Again Sports, REI and more. This event is very beginner-friendly.
