Increased traffic in and around library on Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9

by Green & Gold News  |

Please be aware there will be increased foot traffic in the UAA/APU Consortium Library during the day on Tuesday, April 9 for the ADAC-Arctic Center of Excellence (COE) ribbon cutting ceremony. UAA will host federal and state officials, university leadership and other distinguished guests to celebrate the opening of the ADAC-Arctic COE.

Please note that during the event, which runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., the main circulation desk at the south entrance of the library will be closed. The main reading room on the first floor and the third floor study areas of the library are also reserved for the event and will not be available for use starting at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 8. By Tuesday afternoon, the event should be winding down and by the evening the library will return to normal operations.

During this time, there will also be an influx of cars parking in UAA lots. As a result, it may be harder to find a parking spot. To mitigate this issue, parking enforcement will pause on Tuesday, April 9. Parking will be free for the day.
