The end of another academic year brings a lot of stress but also a lot of excitement and reflection. The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) is excited to announce the winners of the CAFE Oh Wow (COW) awards for this year!

This award has two categories, Excellence in Teaching and Promoting Success of Fellow Faculty.

COW Excellence in Teaching awardees are:

• Dr. Herminia Din: Professor of Art, Department of Art
• Grace Leu-Burke: Associate Professor, School of Allied Health
• Alexa Filanowicz: Associate Professor, School of Social Work

COW Promoting Success of Fellow Faculty awardees are:

• Douglass Bourne: Assistant Professor, Department of Writing
• Debra Crawford: Math Instructor, Department of Quantitative Studies
• Melissa Chlupach: Assistant Professor, Dietetics and Nutrition

Congratulations to all the COW awardees and thank you for your contributions to UAA faculty, students, and the community! CAFE also wants to acknowledge all the CAFE Engaged Faculty and CAFE Presenters who contributed to our ever-growing community of support.
