Zoom AI Companion Pilot Program

The University of Alaska is currently piloting Zoom AI Companion, an innovative tool designed to enhance meeting productivity and efficiency. This pilot program will run until July 26 and help us prepare for the full university launch on Aug. 9.

The Zoom AI Companion pilot is spearheaded by NTS, with executive support from Ben Shier, CITO of UA, and Roweena Carlos, CIO of UAF. The initiative is facilitated by the Nanook Technology Services Collaboration and Learning Spaces Department.

Key features (currently available for the pilot team):

  • Meeting summary: After each meeting, get a concise recap of key discussion points, action items, and decisions.
  • Recording summary: Quickly review the highlights of recorded Zoom sessions without watching the entire video.
