Apply for a Community Engaged Student Assistant (CESA) soon! The deadline is Aug. 23 at 5 p.m.
The deadline to apply for CESAs for fall semester is approaching. If you haven’t had a CESA before, learn more about how CESAs can support you in your teaching, research or creative activity on the Center for Community Engagement & Learning website. If you want to incorporate community engagement into your classroom, a CESA is one of the best ways to do it!
CESA activities help students develop their leadership and commitment to civic engagement on campus and in the community and support students, faculty, and community partners in four key areas:
- Developing community partnerships with faculty
- Recruiting, placing, training and coordinating service-learners for courses
- Developing creative projects, applying technical expertise, and collecting research data
- Providing direct service/research to the community partner
