Seawolves pace GNAC VB academic stars with three 4.0s

Portland, Ore. (Oct. 30) – Led by a 4.00 grade-point averages from three players, the Alaska Anchorage volleyball team placed four student-athletes on the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, presented by Barnes & Noble College, announced Wednesday by the league office.

Junior libero Madison Galloway was the lone repeat winner from 2023 as the Pensacola, Fla., native maintained her 4.00 GPA in psychology. In their second year with the program, former junior college transfers Kadyn Osborne (Anchorage/Dimond HS, journalism & public communications) and Bethany Tuchardt (Battle Ground, Wash., management) also sport perfect GPAs, while sophomore Bella Burney (Tumwater, Wash.) made the team with a 3.25 GPA in justice.

A total of 66 student-athletes qualified for this year’s GNAC All-Academic Team, with Seawolves accounting for three of the 10 perfect GPAs.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must carry a 3.20-plus overall GPA and be in at least their second year of competition at a GNAC institution.
