Presenting the fall/winter 2024 edition of Spirit magazine! As UAA's premier publication, these amazing stories capture the great work of alumni and students from your Hometown U.

This edition of Spirit is packed with stories about philanthropy — from a retrospective of the For Alaska and Giving Day fundraising campaigns, and a history of the UAA Alumni Scholarship, to more personal stories about the individuals who have been impacted by these efforts.

In this issue, meet philosophy alumnus John Macy, who just began a yearlong clerkship at the United States Supreme Court. On a related note, you can also read about the upcoming in-state law school made possible through a partnership between UAA and the Seattle University School of Law.

Additionally, you can learn about how another collaborative effort — this one between UAA, UAF, and the Aleut Community of St. Paul Island Tribal Government — is creating a scientific workforce and building community trust through the establishment of a tribal research program located in the heart of St. Paul.

With these stories and more, please enjoy leaning in and learning more about how #SeawolfNation continues to make an impact in Alaska and beyond.
