Honorary Degree Committee seeks faculty members

UAA seeks faculty to join the Honorary Degree Committee. This faculty advisory committee receives, reviews and recommends nominations for award of an honorary degree. The committee is currently chaired by Professor Don Rearden, who represents the Community & Technical College. The committee needs faculty to serve in the following committee seats:

  • One seat – College of Arts & Sciences
  • One seat – College of Business & Public Policy
  • One seat – College of Engineering
  • One seat – College of Health
  • One Seat – School of Education/UAA-APU Consortium Library

The committee meets several times throughout the year, with a concentrated review period between mid-February and mid-April. Faculty from community campuses are encouraged to apply. Faculty interested in serving on the Honorary Degree Committee should email their name, title and brief details of interest to uaa.chancellor@alaska.edu by Thursday, Dec. 12.
