Strategic Planning
UAA's Planning Processes
UAA develops strategic plans via intensive, inclusive planning efforts. UAA 2027 is our overarching strategic plan designed to ensure student success. Every university plan, including those outlined below, is designed to ensure UAA students meet core competencies, to move the needle on student success, and to close equity gaps. UAA's strategic plans also drive resource allocation decisions.
UAA 2027
Through intentional engagement of our stakeholders, UAA developed a forward-looking strategic plan that guides our institution. Our mission and vision as an institution are about transforming lives and communities.
Strategic Enrollment Management Plan
Supporting UAA's overall Strategic Plan (UAA 2027), our Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan was created in 2023 through a comprehensive and inclusive planning process. The plan runs through 2028, with a goal to increase both retention and new admissions, gradually increasing overall UAA enrollment to nearly 16,000 students.
UAA Research Plan
The overarching goal of the research strategic plan is to elevate the impact of UAA’s research, creative, scholarly and public service activities, thereby solidifying their fundamental importance as a cornerstone of both a thriving UAA and our wider community.
