Student Resources and Advising
New students joining the College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) are often unsure about which business major is right for them, or how to begin working toward the degree they’ve chosen. Advisors in the Student Advising Center (SAC) help business students explore their interests and strengths so that when they do choose a major, the choice is one that makes sense for them individually.
CBPP Student Advising Center Mission
The CBPP Student Advising Center encourages students to be persistent toward their
career and educational goals. We connect with students in a proactive manner and consistently
provide timely and accurate information. We support academic and personal development,
and work in partnership with each other to promote student success.
SAC Office Hours
8 AM - 5 PM Monday through Thursday, Fridays by appointment only.

Academic advising is a vital aspect of a successful university experience and an integral part of the teaching and learning mission on the College of Business and Public Policy. Academic advisors in the Student Advising Center develop one-on-one advising relationships and encourage students to work persistently toward their career and educational goals. SAC advisors are committed to providing consistent, timely, accurate information, supporting students’ academic and personal development, and encouraging the type of systematic thinking, knowledge integration and decision-making they will need throughout their college career.
The College of Business and Public Policy invests solidly in its Student Advising Center and its advising staff is vetted for their knowledge and expertise. Make a point to stop in soon to meet with a CBPP advisor.
