Ruby Fried, assistant professor of Health Science within the Institute for Circumpolar Health Studies of the UAA Div. of Population Health Sciences, helped host the Regional Food Security and Climate Change Adaptation Symposium with the Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association from April 12 to 14, 2022.

The symposium is about improving food security in the Aleutian Pribilof Islands region, gathering stakeholders to discuss food security as it pertains to traditional foods, store-bought foods, and greenhouse/garden food production. The information gathered and perspectives represented will guide future efforts to improve food security across the region.
