of theory and practice cultivates a breed of healthcare professionals equipped to
tackle the complexities of today's healthcare landscape.
This year’s Fall Grand Rounds, organized by UAA’s Interprofessional Education Committee (IPE) and the Alaska Center for Rural Health & Health Workforce (ACRH-HW), focused on the topic of Traditional Healing by request from rural communities.
UAA's College of Health hosts Cares for Kids annually, where dental students give back to the community by providing free preventive dental care to youth aged 3 to 17.
This summer, high school students in the Della Keats Program, administered by UAA’s WWAMI School of Medical Education, spent four immersive weeks at UAA's Anchorage campus, engaging in health science coursework and experiencing residential life.
UAA Justice Center Professor, Sharon Chamard provides expertise on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), emphasizing the importance of design elements like natural surveillance, access control, and maintenance in creating safer communities.
