Biography
Connor is a Communications Coordinator with the College of Health. He graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Communications with a concentration in Strategic Communications.
Before completing his undergraduate degree in 2021, he spent his senior year abroad through UAA's National Student Exchange (NSE) program in Norwich, England. He was enrolled in the Media Studies program at the University of East Anglia.
Connor started his professional career at Thompson & Co. Public Relations as an Account Coordinator in Anchorage, Alaska. Here he was responsible for handling day-to-day client services in Alaska industries like health care, telecommunications, non-profit organizations, and the private sector.
Prior to joining the College of Health's communications team he was the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications at Alaska Pacific University, where he gained experience in copywriting, social media management, media relations, website development and maintenance, and digital advertising.
Outside of the office he enjoys hiking, camping, playing guitar, soccer, and spending time with his cat, Spitz.
