McNair Scholars Program
The McNair Scholars Program prepares high-achieving first generation and income eligible students for graduate study. We are funded by a TRIO grant from the United States Department of Education. The goal is to increase the attainment of Ph.D. and graduate degrees by students from underrepresented segments of society.

Who was Dr. Ronald E. McNair?
Dr. Ronald E. McNair left a lasting legacy. In addition to being an accomplished physicist and astronaut, he was a skilled athlete, saxophone player, and a dedicated family man. He was a member of the ill-fated Challenger launch; his legacy of scholarship inspires others to dream big and look to the stars!
