Mark and Matt Cosby, father and son had the full collegiate experience together and graduated, Sunday, May 7, in the spring 2023 commencement ceremony. While pursuing their degrees the two made sure they had plenty of time to high-five each other on the way to class and provide encouragement throughout their undergraduate journey.

Executive Director for Alaska Native Education & Outreach Michele Yatchmeneff and Provost Denise Runge officiate UAA's spring Commencement awards ceremony in the Fine Arts Building recital hall.

At a special ceremony on Wednesday, May 3, UAA honored Rachel Epstein with the spring 2023 Meritorious Service Award and awarded Honorary Degrees to Don Decker and Kikkan Randall. UAA also recognized eight faculty and staff members with emeritus status during the ceremony.

Renowned voice talents Debi Derryberry (Jimmy Neutron, from Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius) and Rodger Bumpass (Squidward, from SpongeBob SquarePants) are coming to the Valdez Theatre Conference to run voice-over workshops.

Swipe Away Hunger Results

This semester Seawolf Dining was excited to announce that our Swipe Away Hunger program is back. Students with meal plans had the opportunity to donate their unused meal swipes. We received over 250 meal donations from students!

Information Desk is open with food, drinks, and Summer Gear Rentals!

Our student run information desk is your one-stop shop and will be open throughout the summer from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Here, UAA students and staff will have access to what they need most, which of course includes: healthy and not-so-healthy snacks/drinks, tickets to UAA events, and outdoor gear rentals.

UAA IT Technical Support is hiring IT Student Assistants

Information Technology Services (ITS) has put together a program to give student workers an opportunity to experience real-life IT service center scenarios. This program will give students the knowledge and experience of working in an IT call center.
