UAA-UC Davis gymnastics meets canceled

Due to health and safety protocols, this weekend’s Alaska Anchorage gymnastics meets against UC Davis have been canceled. The Seawolves had been set to host the Aggies on Friday and Sunday at the Alaska Airlines Center. UAA’s home openers will now take place Feb. 11 and 13 against Centenary in the Alaska Airlines Center’s main gymnasium. Surf to GoSeawolves.com to purchase advance tickets.

Student job opening: Social Media and Marketing Assistant

The UAA College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is seeking a Social Media and Marketing Assistant to help tell the amazing stories of the CAS community. The Social Media and Marketing Assistant will work directly with the CAS Communications Specialist to develop creative digital content, write stories that capture the unique CAS environment, and work to bring a fresh perspective to CAS’ online presence.

Senior Nursing Students' Survey

We are a group of senior nursing students conducting a survey for COVID-19 vaccine awareness in the UAA campus population. The University of Alaska Anchorage, School of Nursing senior nursing students are completing an academic assessment project about COVID vaccination awareness in the community. There has been an Institutional Review Board Determination that this is considered to be non-research. This information will be used to develop a community awareness campaign using public service announcements.

UAA rolls out exposure notifications, a COVID tracking tool for all Alaskans

UAA helped usher a tool into Alaska this month that aids in the fight against COVID-19. Alaska COVID Exposure Notification Express, or ENX, is a free, anonymous service you can use on your smartphone.

$2.1 million award will help address Alaska’s nursing shortage

Jan. 26: UA HR’s TA hosts Supervisor Brown Bag Lunch Forum

UA HR’s Talent Acquisition team is rolling out a Brown Bag Lunch Forum specifically for Supervisors. This hour will be set aside for supervisors to join the TA team to bring forward and discuss any TA related questions. These may include Classification, Compensation, Recruitment or DEI items. Please join us on the last Wednesday of each month!

TRIO SSS classroom presentations

TRIO SSS is currently recruiting students to be a part of our program. TRIO is a support program for students who are the first in their family to pursue a 4-year college degree, low-income, and/or experience a documented disability. We offer students academic coaching, financial literacy, and tutoring in STEM subjects. TRIO staff are available to visit your class to share about our services or provide you with information to distribute. We can arrange a short in-person or virtual presentation.
