VC for University Advancement Megan Olson departing UAA

Please join me in thanking Vice Chancellor for University Advancement Megan Olson for her many years of inspiring service at UAA. Megan has informed me that she will leave her position at the end of the fall semester to spend more time with her family after seventeen years of dedicated university service and leadership.

Marci Suazo is new director of public relations for UAA

Marci Suazo will join the UAA Office of University Advancement as director of public relations in December, leading the university's communications and public relations efforts.

Office of the Bursar closed to in-person services Nov. 22-24

The Office of the Bursar will be closed to in-person services Nov. 22, 23 and 24. Staff will be available via email and our call center will remain open during our normal business hours. Student account payments may be made 24/7 via UAOnline, checks may be placed in the Cashiering drop box. Departments may utilize the Cashiering drop box for deposits and should have all deposits delivered to Cashiering no later than noon on Wednesday, Nov. 24.

Dr. Mary Ann Hautman establishes Indigenous Nursing Endowed Scholarship

Mary Ann Hautman recalls her father often told her, “No one can take away your education.” Now, by establishing the new Mary Ann Hautman Indigenous Nursing Endowed Scholarship at UAA, she will provide a gift to others that, in her father’s words, “cannot be taken away.”
