Job opening: UAA Residence Coordinator

The Department of Residence Life (DRL), at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic candidate for a full-time, 3-year term, 10-month/year Residence Coordinator position. The Residence Coordinator is a live-in, master's degree-level professional — responsible for the operation of one of our residential campus living areas.

Join us over Zoom for the 17th annual Constitution Day Chartwell Lecture, "A Defense of Originalism," presented by John O. McGinnis, George C. Dix Professor in Constitutional Law at Northwestern University.

Sept. 17: UAA Annual Accreditation/Assessment Seminar: Preparing for the Mid-Cycle Visit

This year’s annual seminar will focus on preparing for the Oct. 7-8 NWCCU Mid-Cycle Evaluation site visit. Chancellor Parnell and Provost Runge will kick off the session with a welcome and, along with the accreditation tri-chairs and the Accreditation Advisory Committee, will guide us through reflections about UAA’s Mid-Cycle Evaluation.

Sept. 18: Cider and Flips Gymnastics Fundrasier

Enjoy world class cider and food from Double Shovel Cider Co. and Pacific Bite Food Truck - all for a good cause! A portion of the proceeds will go directly to save UAA Gymnastics.

Reminder to complete annual Title IX training

Chancellor announces key UAA leadership hire

After a competitive search process, Dr. Michele Yatchmeneff has accepted the role of executive director of Alaska Native education and outreach. Dr. Yatchmeneff currently serves as an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at UAA, as well as assistant director of the Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program (ANSEP).
