Alaska EPSCoR to hold phase 6 proposal webinar

The leads of a planned five-year sixth phase of the Alaska NSF EPSCoR project will hold an informational webinar about the proposal Friday, Sept. 3 at noon. Entitled "Glaciers to Gulf," the $20 million proposal will focus on Alaska's coastal margins. Leads from the three main UA campuses are currently asking for pre-proposals from researchers interested in working on the project; see the attachment for more details.

"The Journey" is an exhibition of oil paintings by UAA alum MaryBeth Printz. The paintings explore multi-figurative scenes that are inspired by personal and societal issues created in an imaginative-realistic style. The exhibit will be open now through Sept. 22!

UAA hockey team reinstated

Save Seawolf Hockey founder Kathie Bethard, UAA Director of Athletics Greg Myford, UAA Chancellor Sean Parnell and Seawolf hockey alumnus Jim Mayes.

The Seawolf hockey program has surpassed its fundraising mark, resulting in the D-I team’s reinstatement and paving the way for the team to resume play in the 2022-23 season. The current total raised behind the Save Seawolf Hockey effort is more than $3.1 million, assuring hockey’s future in Seawolf Nation.
