After a competitive search process, Dr. Michele Yatchmeneff has accepted the role of executive director of Alaska Native education and outreach. Dr. Yatchmeneff currently serves as an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at UAA, as well as assistant director of the Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program (ANSEP).

This is a part-time position that will work 20 hour a week, Monday through Friday; it may have the potential to increase hours to 30-40 hours/week. Its main focus is to support/build/nurture successful partnerships with school districts and agencies; advising and student support; recruitment and outreach; and data management.
