UAA Chancellor finalists announced

The UAA Chancellor Search Committee announced today that it has recommended eight candidates to meet with the UAA and Anchorage community in the final phase of the chancellor review process. These eight leaders were chosen from a pool of diverse and highly qualified candidates and will participate in student and community forums April 13-14.

Cheryl Siemers named next KPC director

Dr. Cheryl Siemers will serve as the new director of Kenai Peninsula College (KPC). Siemers currently serves as assistant director of academic affairs at KPC. She formerly served as director of advancement and academic dean at neighboring institution Alaska Christian College.

COVID operations and the post-COVID workplace

With all adult Alaskans now eligible for COVID vaccines and case rates in our communities relatively stable, President Pitney and the Chancellors are working on planning for more traditional operations in summer and fall, beginning this transition in mid-May.

School of Nursing accepting applications for a Program Support Specialist position

This position will serve as program support including maintaining assorted databases and files, faculty/administrative support and assisting in scheduling and administration of professional development and contract training efforts, and student support and the first point of contact for students. Open forums for finalists for the College of Arts & Sciences Dean position

As chairs of the UAA CAS Dean search committee, we are pleased to announce the finalists for the position and the process for virtual campus visits April 12-16. Our search generated international interest and produced a large set of initial applicants.
