UAA Campus Bookstore opens for fall semester Aug. 19

 

Textbook buyback at the UAA Campus Bookstore, Aug. 23, 24, 26, 27 and 28

Start the new semester with extra space on your shelves and cash in your pockets by selling your old textbooks back to the UAA Campus Bookstore. The bookstore will offer textbook buyback on the following days.

Fall 2013: Road closure may require detours to normal UAA travel route

As part of the construction of UAA's new sports arena—the Alaska Airlines Center—GMC Contracting Inc. will be closing Elmore Road to through traffic between University Lake Drive and Sharon Gagnon Lane beginning Aug. 12. The closure will last approximately until Sept. 2 as crews build a new roundabout intersection and complete underground utility work.

Schwoerer and Hupperten selected for Seawolf Hall of Fame

A trend-setting two-sport athlete, Tobias Schwoerer, and one of the most dedicated boosters in program history, Peter Hupperten, will comprise the 2013 class of the Seawolf Hall of Fame, announced interim athletic director Tim McDiffett.
