Enrollment Services will be closed July 19

Enrollment Services will be closed all day on Friday, July 19, for National Standards Training. All services related to Financial Aid, Admissions, Records and Registration will be unavailable during that time.

Summer 2013: Access to the UC during Old Seward Hwy. resurfacing

Rehabilitation of the Old Seward Highway began in June and will continue through late fall with several projects affecting access to UAA's University Center (UC), home of the One Stop for students as well as headquarters for several programs. Be sure to allow yourself a few extra minutes when traveling to the UC and keep your eyes open for changing traffic patterns.

Ted Stevens EADS Scholarship now accepting applications for the 2013-2014 academic year

The University of Alaska Foundation announces the availability of the Ted Stevens EADS Scholarship. The scholarship is available to dependents of current, former or deceased members of the Alaska National Guard or United States Coast Guard who are currently stationed in Alaska or were stationed in Alaska at the time of discharge or death. The minimum award amount will be $1,000. The deadline to apply is Friday, Aug. 30.

UAA launches search for new athletic director; public invited to open forum on July 24, 2013

UAA has launched the search for its new director of Athletics. The public can participate in the process, which is expected to take five to seven weeks, by attending an open forum on July 24 at 6:30 p.m. in the UAA/APU Consortium Library, room 307.

Bone collection gives scientists a research boost
