Alumni get drone company off the ground

Two CBPP grads are giving new meaning to "business overhead." Tyler Currier, B.B.A. '13 and Beau Bivins, B.B.A. '13 helped launch Alaska Aerial Media, a drone-based company that has, quite literally, taken off, netting contracts with the Muni and negotiating with national players like Travel Channel.

Local chef serves up Parisian sweet treats

There are big changes ahead for both culinary alumna Sam Wagner and for Sweet Caribou, the local business she recently joined. Sam and her team are moving into a permanent storefront and kitchen to continue crafting delicious Parisian pastries called macarons, a fast-growing staple on the Anchorage market circuit.

Once upon a time… not too long from now, in a land far to the north, siblings Aklaq and Nayak are sent to forage for food in the vast frozen tundra. "Aklaq and Nayak" is co-presented by the Anchorage Opera and UAA Department of Music.
