UPDATE 1/10/2018: We're still looking for volunteers. Read the most recent call for volunteers here.

UAA faculty community,

The UAA Office of Admissions is looking for creative faculty members interested in participating in Kids 2 College on Friday, April 20, 2018. Kids 2 College is a program intending to spark an early interest in 5th and 6th grade students to attend college. This program includes six lessons taught in the elementary classroom on topics such as career exploration, paying for college, and connecting college and careers, and culminates with a UAA campus visit and tour. During the campus visit, UAA will offer three sessions of 30-minute, fun, interactive classes for children, to create a vision of themselves attending college in the future. You could teach one session or all three.

If you are interested in participating in the event, please contact Peggy Byers at pjbyers@alaska.edu or (907) 786-1467 or Meghan Mackey at mmackey4@alaska.edu or (907) 786-1543 before Jan. 15. We also have a couple of spots for faculty on the planning committee. The planning committee will not be a heavy commitment.
