by Michelle Saport |
Nov. 15-17 marks Startup Weekend, a 54-hour event designed to provide experiential education for technical and non-technical
entrepreneurs. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through testing,
business model development, and basic prototype creation, Startup Weekend culminates
in Sunday night demos to a panel of potential investors and local entrepreneurs. There
have been an incredible amount of local businesses that started with Startup Weekend,
including Pandere Shoes and 60Hertz - both women-run businesses.
Student tickets to Startup Weekend are only $25. Developer, Designer, Business and Industry Expert tickets are available for $99. Register today!
Following Startup Weekend is the fourth annual Startup Week Alaska, which runs from Nov. 17-24 with events happening all over the state. View a full list of events at alaska.startupweek.co.
