The UAA Budget Office seeks a talented fiscal professional as its next Budget Analyst. The Analyst is responsible the daily review, approval, and processing of essential fiscal activities, such as labor reallocations and budget revisions. This position manages the authorized position control numbers for all UAA campuses and works with HR on position maintenance.

University of Alaska President Jim Johnsen has named Matthew Cooper as the university’s next General Counsel. Cooper’s appointment will follow the retirement of UA’s current General Counsel Michael Hostina in June. The General Counsel serves as the chief legal officer to the Board of Regents, statewide administration and all campuses throughout the university system.

OIT’s Video Conferencing Services announces synchronous Zoom training sessions, May 7-15. Sessions will cover the basics of using Zoom, security best practices, how to be an excellent host, along with an overview of special features like file sharing, screen sharing and breakout rooms. Useful and timely information for any Zoom user! Each session will be one-hour long, followed by a 30-minute Q-and-A.
